Woman fights for life after falling 10 metres off a crane in Botany 

A woman is in a critical condition after falling 10 metres from an industrial lifting vehicle in Sydney.

The woman, aged around 50, fell from the vehicle on to concrete at an industrial site in Botany after midday on Thursday.

She is believed to have sustained limb fractures and a serious head injury, a NSW Ambulance spokesperson said in a statement.

Paramedics and a trauma unit are responding. The woman will be taken to St George Hospital.

The woman is an employee of Hutchison Ports, according to the Southern Courier. 

A spokesman said the company is currently working with authorities to find out how the woman fell.
