Sickening video shows terrified dog being thrown repeatedly against woman’s bedroom wall

This is the sickening moment a small dog is slammed against a wall in a shocking case of animal cruelty.

Footage published on social media shows how an unidentified young woman picks up a black-and-white terrier and hurls it against a bedroom wall.

The frightened animal desperately tries to escape the woman’s clutches, but is picked up and again thrown violently at the wall once again.

The video, which is believed to have been filmed in Chard, Somerset, has been shared over 1,700 times on Facebook.

Avon and Somerset Constabulary and the RSPCA have now both launched investigations into the incident.

Cheryl Kirkhope, who lives in Ferndown, is just one of thousands to have viewed the footage.

Speaking to Somerset Live , she said It made me sick to my stomach to be honest.

Others have commented on the video footage itself.

Stephanie Pope said That’s hideous, couldn’t watch it after the first three seconds. Hope to god someone sorts it out.

While Gweni Orchard said I can’t even believe any person would hurt their pets like this, it really does make me sick to the core.

Police visited a property in the Chard area after receiving reports of the footage.

A spokesman said We were made aware of a social media posting showing alleged cruelty against a dog yesterday (Monday, July 2) at about 4.30pm.

We attended an address in Chard to reports of alleged animal cruelty.

Four dogs were seized from the property and the incident has been referred to the RSPCA.

The animal welfare charity is now looking into the incident.

A spokeswoman said We are aware of this issue and understand the dogs have been taken into police care.

We are so grateful to people who report suspected animal suffering to us and we would like to reassure people we will always look into and, if necessary, investigate any complaints made to us about animal welfare.
