Ruby Rose congratulates ex Jess Origliasso for ‘killing’ her Commonwealth Games performance

She confirmed her split from longtime girlfriend Jessica Origliasso last month.

But Ruby Rose showed she has no hard feelings for her ex on Sunday, when she praised her for ‘killing’ her Commonwealth Games closing ceremony performance.

Ruby, 32, took to Twitter to graciously congratulate Jess but made no mention of her twin sister Lisa, who makes up the other half of pop act The Veronicas.

‘Jess killed the closing ceremony. Hands down. I just got to watch it now. So proud of her,’ she raved in the tweet. 

Scores of the actress’s fans immediately replied to the social media post, giving Ruby the thumbs up for keeping things amicable with her former love. 

‘Your heart of gold just keeps shining. I’m glad you got to see her amazing performance,’ wrote one supporter.

Another follower picked up on Ruby omitting Lisa from the tweet, writing ‘And Lisa… f**k, I know you probably still don’t like her but seriously Ruby they both killed it!’

Last year, Ruby tweeted that Lisa once said her and Jess should ‘feel lucky they don’t get stoned to death like they do in other countries’ due to their same-sex relationship.

The post remained a hot topic after it was deleted and Lisa ultimately defended herself, writing ‘I did not make those statements and I do not hold those views.’

Ruby and Jess first started dating back in 2008, before rekindling their relationship in late 2016 and Ruby announced their split via an Instagram post on Easter Sunday. 

‘I’ve shared the past two years learning and sharing my life with an amazing human being. An experience for which I am very blessed,’ she wrote.

‘Breakups are always incredibly hard on the people involved but I can only be grateful for the experiences we shared. 

‘It’s with a heavy heart to share that Jess and I parted ways a few months ago.

She concluded ‘We still love each other very much and I will always support her and be her biggest advocate. With love x’.
