Nasser Sultan’s ‘boyfriend’ Eyob Geist claims he is ‘broke and unemployed’

He hit the headlines after enjoying a ‘boozy’ lunch with Married At First Sight star Nasser Sultan in April before ‘stumbling’ back to his home.

But it seems fashion student Eyob Geist has been down on his luck since that fateful encounter, as he has complained about being ‘broke’ and ‘unemployed’.

The 20-year-old moaned about his dire finances on his Instagram Stories, and even shared a link to a GoFundMe account he set up so he could buy ‘bags, Uber Eats and alcohol’.

Eyob shared several selfies on the social media site on Tuesday, writing ‘actually a thing’ as he posted a link to his GoFundMe page.

His page is called ‘Eyob’s Broke’ and features the description ‘I need ya cash’ as well as a photo of him.

His goal is to reach $1,000 and ‘all proceeds will go to to the purchasing of bags, Uber eats and alcohol’. Fourteen people have shared the page on Facebook.

Eyob got a taste for the limelight back in May, when he was pictured looking cosy with Nasser, who is 31 years his senior.

‘They definitely looked like more than friends. They tried to keep a low profile at first, but after a couple of drinks they didn’t seem to mind who noticed them,’ a source told NW at the time.

Speaking with the publication at the time, Nasser offered a vague definition of his sexuality.

‘Who cares if I’m gay or not? What difference does it make. I went onto MAFS to find love with someone and I’m still looking now,’ he stated.

‘I shouldn’t have to come out and label myself or anything like that – no-one should. What’s that saying…sexuality is fluid.’

Meanwhile, in May Nasser proved he was desperately to cling onto his reality TV fame when he began charging fans $1 for a photo with him.

Nasser was seen at Sydney’s iconic Bondi Beach, holding a cardboard sign that read ‘$1 selfie with Nasser.’
