Manchester United have held their second training session in Los Angeles as Jose Mourinho prepares his players for the new season.
United’s squad gathered again at the University of California, where Mourinho watched over his players as a number of them battle for their futures.
The squad flew out to the United States late on Sunday and their first pre-season match is on Friday, against Club America at the University of Phoenix stadium in Glendale.

The tour is a major chance for players such as Luke Shaw and Anthony Martial to show that they are deserving of a chance under Mourinho.
Shaw played 19 times for United last season and has often come in for criticism by the United boss.
He has one year left on his United contract, and with Ashley Young on a break after England’s World Cup run, has an opening to impress and become a part of Mourinho’s plans.

The same can also be said of Martial. His poor form last season meant he wasn’t included in France’s World Cup squad.
He has been linked with a move away but knows if that doesn’t happen he must play his way back into the United team.
Other senior players who have joined up with the United camp for the beginning of pre-season included Antonio Valencia, Juan Mata, Eric Bailly and Ander Herrera.
They have had no international commitments and are expected to ready to contribute in the Club America game.
