For five intense days (Jan. 20-24), leaders in interventional cardiology, interventional radiology and vascular specialties will convene for the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy (ISET), considered the premiere meeting in endovascular therapy.
The following ISET 2008 presentations are featured as press releases embargoed until time of presentation:
- Stroke Undertreated: Patients May Not Be Offered Advanced Treatment (Christopher Zylak, M.D.)
- Peripheral Arterial Disease (PAD) Costs More to Treat Than Coronary Artery Disease (Michael R. Jaff, D.O.)
- Super-Thin Drug-Free Coating "Hides" Stent as it Unblocks Heart Arteries: Avoids Deadly Clotting Problems of Drug-Eluting Stents (Corrado Tamburino, M.D., Ph.D.)
You’ll also find a round-up of some of the other advances making news at ISET 2008, in Hollywood, Fla.
New this year: A Town Hall session will be held on Monday, Jan. 21 to debate whether government regulation is stifling scientific investigation in this country and what that could mean for the endovascular community and patients.
Now in its 20th year and hosted by the Baptist Cardiac & Vascular Institute, ISET is renowned for live case demonstrations, audience participation and a multidisciplinary approach to the latest in endovascular research.
Please visit ISET online for a complete symposium schedule www.iset.org.
